Helping our customers, teachers and students, community leaders and the media understand the complexities of water, wastewater and water recycling helps us do the work we need to do protect San Diego's water and environment.
		Grease in a Can Program We come to your classroom and teach your students how pouring grease down the drain can cause sewage spills and water pollution. Water is Life Poster Contest Students are invited to put their creative caps on and participate in the Water is Like Poster Contest. Water Recycling Facility tours Students take a tour of the Water Recycling Facility to learn about the process of turning sewage into clean, safe recycled water for recreation and irrigation. Santee Lakes Junior Ranger Program Right after the Water Recycling tour students identify bird species and tackle other fun science and math challenges at Santee Lakes. Have a picnic, too! Water Conservation Garden Tours Teaching kids about the beauty of xeriscaping is how we will save more of San Diego's water supply in the future!
