H2knOw?Education Programs
In Southern California, water is a complicated subject.  Helping our customers, teachers and students, community leaders and the media understand the complexities of water, wastewater and water recycling helps us do the work we need to do protect San Diego's water and environment.

  Education Programs For Students

Grease in a Can  Program

We come to your classroom and teach your students how pouring grease down the drain can cause sewage spills and water pollution. Students make their own grease can to use at home. Contact: Maggie Buerger at 619-258-4655 or mbuerger@padre.org

Water is Life  Poster Contest
Students are invited to put their creative caps on and participate in the Water is Like Poster Contest.  To enter, students create a hand drawn poster depicting this year's theme. Contact: Maggie Buerger at 619-258-4655 or mbuerger@padre.org

School Pledge Promotion
Students who complete the 20-gallon challenge could be entered to win tickets to Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park or Legoland. Click here for more details.
